Valentine's Day

I LOVE everything about Valentine's Day. I love the pink and red hearts, I love the candy, I love the sugar cookies, and I especially LOVE spending the day showing my kids and hubby how much I LOVE them.


On Valentine's Eve Anthony spoiled me to a really nice dinner with Steak AND lobster at one of my favorite resturants. THEN, he took me back home, lit a fire and surprised me by saranading "our song" to me. He had tought himself how to play the guitar during work and had been practicing for the past few months so that he could sing to me. I know, I know....he's the man. (sorry ladies, he is TAKEN!)

He played it the next day for the kiddios..

After our amazing date, Anthony had to go to work (the night shift). When he got home the next morning, he drove up to this...I left him a little love note...

Maya, Kai and Addison woke up to a trail of hearts that lead to buckets filled with little goodies...

And then, Crepes and heart shaped sausage for breakfast!!! YUMMMMM!!!....

Then, to top it all off, we got to have dinner at Nana and Papa's and play with cousins and Stephanie. What a LOVELY Valentine's Day!!!...

Valentine's Day Parties

Thanks to my mom, hubby and my dear friend, Cristy, I have been able to attend every one of Maya and Kai's class parties this year. It is something I really look foward to and LOVE planning. I am one lucky Mommy!

FOX12 Studio Tour

Stephanie is such an AMAZING person. She took Maya and two of her best friends, Rachel and Cassidy, to tour the Fox12 station. The girls were beside themselves excited (as was I Ü)
We got to "play" infront of the green weather wall and then pretended to be Anchor Women. It was so much fun!!! Thank you SO MUCH Steph!

The girls even got to help Steph do her makeup and hair in their dressing room....

We were able to sit in on the LIVE broadcast....

School Valentine's

A couple of days ago I was taking some pictures of Maya to make invitations for her upcoming birthday party and I was hit by an idea for our class Valentine's this year.
These were SOOOOOOO easy.

I put up a white poster board on our garage door and snapped some pics of Maya and Kai with their arms stretched out and their hands in a fist...

and then through the powers of photoshop I turned them into this...

I sent them to the hour photo at Costco and paid 13 cents each for 4x6 prints. I then slit some holes in the picture at the bottom and top of their fists and slipped in a sucker that I found in the $1 bin at Target.
Here is the finished product.....

Love is in the air...

February 1 is one of my most favorited days of the year. It is the day that the kids and I blanket the house with pink, red, and purple hearts. Just about every window or door in our home is covered in hearts. I LOVE it!

This has added such a fun and cheery atmosphere to our home. I think I might keep them up for a little while! I LOVE them.
