Summer Shenanigans

The summer is about halfway over and the Pabst family has already filled our time with a load of summer shenanigans....

We spend the afternoons in the front yard with the slip and slide, kiddie pool, and a whole bunch of Good Housekeeping magazines...
We have campouts in our front room...

We have had a LOT of lemonade stands...

We have tried out just about every park within a 20 mile radius...

We have story time with daddy before bed (pinkalicious is a favorite)....

We have discovered new and creative ways to play indoors when it is just too dang hot outside...

We go on fun family bike rides...

We go watch fun shows on Tuesday nights with our picnic dinners(next tuesday night is a puppet show and we can not wait!!!!)...
We crack eggs on daddy's beat up old car to see if it is hot enough to cook...
We found out it is not hot enough to cook an egg. Just hot enough to make a very big mess...

We also spend a whole lot of time doing nothing at all and just enjoying the Pabst Summer of '09!!!

Multnomah Falls

My very good friend and neighbor, Cristy and my sister Saralyn and I have made a goal this summer to take the kids on at least one new "adventure" a week this summer.
I am calling it the "Summer of Fun in '09 Series".
A couple of weeks ago Christy and I took our kids to Multnomah Falls for a hike. It was a ton of fun and the kids slept like rocks that night so that is always a good thing.

The Munchies (Jonah, Rachel, Kai and Maya)...

Cristy and I....

4th of July!

We had a super fun 4th of July this year. Very low key. We went to the church breakfast and children's parade in the morning and then went to Nana and Papa's for a BBQ and fireworks in front of their house. Their neighbors go all out on the 4th of July so we had quite the show to watch.

Getting all dolled up for the day...

As you can see, Addison was really enthused by the festivities...

Maya with the other primary children singing patriotic songs...

Riding around in the parade....

Maya and her good friend Annie....

BBQ at Nana and Papa's....

Fun with sparklers....

Let the fireworks begin...

Campbell Clan Family Reunion

Okay...so here is the Campbell family in a very very very big nutshell...

It all started with this beautiful lady (and my namesake) Grandma Rula Fawn and her wonderful husband, Grandpa Bud...

Then came these guys....

who married these guys...

and they gave life to, and raised these hooligans....

who gave life to and are attempting to raise these crazy rascals....

And so about 89 lives (and counting) later....you have the CAMPBELL CLAN family.

{Pretty cool, eh?}

Here is our little branch on the family tree. {minus my gorgeous hubby Anthony and my brother Spencer who both had to stay back for school and brother Chris who had to work}...

Nana and Papa with their grand babies...

Addison giving Lilly a ride on the scooter...

Maya and Addison...

Maya snuggling her Uncle Kent-o...

Thane and his tongue...

Addison having some good ol' fashion fun with Maya's face...

How can you resist that face? I have yet to find a way....

Addison and her Posse...

Jodi and Kent cooking up their pancakes and bacon one morning...
Addison and Toby trying to make sense of all the chaos...

we spent one of the days at the Cherry Hill water park. The kids had a blast in the wadding pool and fountains...
