Ornaments

When I was young, one of my favorite and most exciting things about the Christmas season was the package we would get every year from my Grammy (my mom's mom). In that package, each child had their very own Christmas ornament. I still have most of those cherished ornaments today and LOVE taking them out every year and showing them to my children.
My mother has kept this tradition alive by giving all of her grandchildren a very special ornament of their own every year. I love seeing my own children get so excited for this every year and love the excitement on their faces as they take out previous years ornaments and hang them on the tree.

Anthony thought he could be sneaky and catch me really cutting a rug. Silly boy.....notice the sideways shot....amature!
Kai, on the other hand, was more than happy to show off.

Going on a tree Hunt

One of the many wonderful things about Oregon is the many, many tree farms there are during Christmas time. We get to go out with the kids in a forrest of trees and find the perfect one for our family and bring it home.
The kids and I love playing hide-and-seek while our very own "Paul Bunyan" saws down the tree and ties it to the car.

"ewwwwww-ahhhhhh"

The kids and I went to the City's tree lighting ceremony. This is just one of the many fun and FREE things our city has to offer for families.
This very spot is where the kids and I spent most of the summer running through the water fountain park trying to stay cool.
Now, we were drinking the free hot coca, trying to stay warm.

Merry Christmas!!

Grammy and Bapa

Before our trip to Seattle, Grammy and Bapa came to visit us for a few days. We had so much fun hanging out and playing.
We love Grammy and Bapa!

During our time in Seattle, we packed up all the kids on a beautiful, sunny day and headed to downtown Seattle. There was so much to see and do. The kids (and adults) had a blast!

Those of you who know me well, know that I CAN NOT stand it when people take their gum out of their mouths...for ANY reason, but especially if they set it down on a plate or something.....I am feeling a little queezy just thinking about it.
So, when we hear there was a wall full of other people's gum......let's just say, my skin started to itch at the thought, let alone the site.
NASTY!!!!

There were these seagulls at the resturaunt that we ate at that were desperate for a nice, warm french fry.
